3. European Night of Museums (Saturday 23 May 2026)
The 22nd edition of this magical night, where more than 3,000 museums across Europe open their doors for free until midnight. In Lyon, it's a true institution.
On the programme this year: the Musée des Beaux-Arts celebrates its 11th collaboration with ESMOD, where fashion students engage with the collections to create a dialogue between fashion and art. The Musée d'Art Contemporain (macLYON) offers DJ sets in the evening with exhibitions open until 11.30pm. 6. Cycling in May (13–22 May 2026)
The Lyon Metropolitan Authority is offering 4 free events during the Ascension bank holiday period, with workshops on how to use and secure your bike, FreeVélo'v distributions for eligible residents, and information stands.
